Undrafted 4th year goaltender Joel Rumpel(33) decides to head overseas for 2018/2019 signing with Braehead Clan of the EIHL.
The 6’3″ 190 lbs. net minder has played 100 ECHL games, including a pair of back-to-back 2015 & 2016 Kelly Cup Championships with Allen Americans.
He also won a 2013 NCAA/WCHA and 2014 NCAA/B1G Championship at University Of Wisconsin.
It’s a bit of a wonder why he’s only played 2 AHL games for San Jose Barracuda, while under a 1-year entry level deal with parent club San Jose Sharks.
The 27-year old will likely do very well in the United Kingdom’s top league.
