7th year right wing Jordan Szwarz(21) takes a career high 65 AHL games played scoring a team best 22 goals and 54 points under contract with Providence Bruins to a new 1-year NHL deal with the parent club, Boston Bruins, signed on the opening day of unrestricted free agency.

His solid start in the minors playing 6 games netting 5 goals and 3 assists with a +7 rating and an injury riddled big league squad earns him a first recall since late 2015 with Arizona Coyotes.

In 9 game he has his first 3 assists to go with 4 goals and shows little signs of being released back to the farm club.

6th year right wing Jordan Szwarz(37) was left unqualified by contract team for his first 5 years, Arizona Coyotes heading into the 2016/2017 season.

He was in training camp and officially signed a pto to join Providence Bruins on opening day but was slow to start with only a pair of goals through October.

The small-ish, energetic forward picked up the pace big as the team started to gain its footing and currently has a career high 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points (both team leading) in 58 AHL contests with a +19 rating.

He was rewarded a month into the year with an spc to stay.

He’s on pace to play a new best games in a single season and also post more shots on net than he has in a past campaign.

The soon-to-be 26-year old, former Saginaw Spirit and Portland Pirates‘ captain with 35 NHL games experience is a good leader for the young minor league squad and could be playing himself into another big league deal for 2017/2018.

He’s easily worth a look.

Arizona Coyotes‘ 4th round pick in 2009 draft (#97 overall) right wing Jordan Szwarz(10) signed a 2-year 2-way contract when his entry level deal was expiring at the end of 2013/2014.

He skated in his first 23 NHL games during the next season scoring his first three goals with no assists and a -6 rating as a mostly fourth line energy player.

The 5’11” 200 lbs. forward was only recalled once late in 2014/2015 and appeared in 9 games adding another tally to his totals.

He is considered a team leader that plays a hard checking, energetic style.

He was named captain in his final year of juniors with Saginaw Spirit of the OHL, took on the role of assistant captain in his sophomore year with affiliate Portland Pirates and led them in his third campaign.

The 24-year old has always had decent campaigns in the AHL scoring 35 goals and 54 assists in 191 games with a +11 rating and seems to be on the cusp of his first full year up with the big club.

Rookie forward Jordan Szwarz(12) got that first professional hockey goal monkey off his back last week.

Phoenix Coyotes picked him in the 4th round of the 2009 draft (#97 overall).

He has played in 11 games for their AHL affiliate, Portland Pirates and has 3 points.

In juniors, he put up some very respectable numbers in the OHL for Saginaw Spirit (including a fantastic +33 plus/minus rating in 65 games) and was named their 2010/2011 team captain.
