Martin-Bakos

By far the most intriguing player at Boston Bruins‘ development camp is 10th year Slovakian-born right wing Martin Bakos(41), who is the oldest attendant by a good 10 years.

The 28-year old already has 9 years pro playing experience most recently with Bili Tygri Liberec of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga, but also skated three seasons in the KHL for Kunlun Red Star and HC Slovan Bratislava, where he also played three seasons in Slovak Tipsport Extraliga and one year of junior hockey.

The 6’2″ 198 lbs. forward signed a one-year two-way deal at the league minimum that is worth $200,000 at the minor league level.

It’s very doubtful he’s come all this way to play for affiliate Providence Bruins but even if he is reassigned and it sticks, he will make some very decent money to ride the buses.
