New Jersey Devils‘ 2nd round pick in the 2016 draft (#41 overall), 2nd year right wing Nathan Bastian(42) earns a 2nd recall and scores his 1st NHL goal in a 2-1 victory.
The big 6’4″ 205 lbs. forward leads affiliate Binghamton Devils with 17 goals (a career best) and his 23 points and +9 rating are also career highs in 56 AHL games.
He was always a decent scorer through three years in the OHL with Mississauga Steelheads but only once ascended to goal totals greater than he’s posted this season.
The 21-year old is just in the 1st year of his three-year entry level deal, so definitely has some time to develop but there’s no time like the present.
