Brown University Bears‘ 2023/2024 commit, defenseman Nicholas Bernardo(48) pulled off an NAHL junior best 9 goals and 38 points with a +9 rating for 2nd year team, Maine Nordiques last season, then added 7 points in 7 playoff matchups.
The 5’9″ 170 lbs. blue liner had 31 assists in his 1st frame with the team.
From Hauppauge, NY, the 20-year old will definitely fight for a roster spot as a freshman.
He actually second guessed his 1st thought, went to Long Island University Sharks instead and as a sophomore scored 8 goals and 9 assists in 30 games with a +4 rating.
Maybe he’s getting itchy for something different or changes his degree program, but enters the transfer portal and will next play for Sacred Heart University Pioneers in his junior frame, 2026/2027.
We think he finds space, does well in Atlantic Hockey.
