Boston Bruins‘ 5th year left wing Nick Ritchie(21) was a trade deadline pick up from draft club (1st round, 2014, #10 overall) Anaheim Ducks as the playoff race heats up.
The sizable 6’2″ 230 lbs. power forward adds some depth up front and could pot a lot of goals playing a black & gold hockey system.
He’s a bit off his career high marks from last season (22 assists, 31 points in just 60 contests) but has a tidy 8 goals and 11 assists in 43 games in the current campaign that can easily be added to.
The 24-year old former 2011 OHL Champion and twice WJC Gold Medalist still has one season left on his contract at a cap friendly $2M per AAV but if he gels look for him to get re-upped before he’s set to hit restricted free agency.
