Boston Bruins‘ 7th year Swedish-born center Par Lindholm(26) signed a 2-year one-way deal on opening day of unrestricted free agency.
The 6′ 183 lbs. forward was originally signed by Toronto Maple Leafs on a one-year entry level deal coming in with 4 years SHL and one year Allsvenskan experience.
Matters didn’t seem to gel so well up in Ontario as he netted only one goal and 11 assists in 61 NHL games with a +5 rating, so he was shipped over to Winnipeg Jets for a bag of rocks and life carried on.
He came over to North American pro hockey having already three times reached the 10+ goal mark and twice the 10+ assist plateau and in his last season, he hit 29 helpers in Sweden’s top league.
At 27-years old he’s a bit older but chances are the Black & Gold think he will quickly become a top 12 player up front for them.
