Boston Bruins‘ 7th year center Paul Carey(27) gets extended for two more seasons on a two-way deal by the hometown team.
He’s very close to career high goals (21), assists (29) and points (50) with affiliate Providence Bruins and could eclipse marks he set only a couple campaigns ago for Hershey Bears (24-31-55), while under contract to Washington Capitals.
Picked up in a bit of a minor league deal with Ottawa Senators, he’ll no doubt help the farm club in their quest for a Calder Cup.
He appeared in 7 NHL games in 2018/2019 but has yet to record a point and is one game off 100 at the highest level.
The former Colorado Avalanche deep draft pick did skate one full season in the show recently for New York Rangers and has 8 goals and 8 assists total with most of those points coming in that year 2017/2018.
At 30-years old, he likely still has plenty left in the tank to contribute wherever he’s needed.
