University Of Vermont Catamounts 2022/2023 commit, Swedish-born defenseman Philip Tornqvist(14) played his youth hockey at home, but did skate all of last season in the NAHL and parts of two others.
The 6′ 181 lbs. blue liner had a breakout campaign, scoring a junior best by a long shot 20 goals (most by a d-man in the league) and 13 assists with a +28 rating, 1st for Maryland Black Bears, then traded to Wichita Falls Warriors, where he agreed to school.
At 20-years old, he looks to get himself right into Hockey East action as a freshman.
