Colorado Avalanche 4th year defenseman Ryan Graves(27) received a late Christmas present with his 1st NHL recall and was only just reassigned back to affiliate Colorado Eagles as the All-Star break is set to occur.
In 9 games he has a pair of goals, scored in back-to-back outings and had been playing roughly 10 minutes a session but upped those numbers to 16:08 minutes skating 19 shifts.
His first tally almost poetically came against his former draft club.
He also leaves with a +1 rating and 9 shots on net, although his team suffered most losses than wins while he was up.
Back in the minors, he has two goals and 4 assists in 29 AHL games on a team that sometimes struggles to score and gain wins.
The 23-year old signed a one-year deal a couple of weeks into his first restricted free agency and appears that he’s being groomed to step up.
