New York Rangers‘ 2nd year defenseman Ryan Lindgren(55) was demoted late to start his sophomore campaign with affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack but obviously didn’t mind as he grabbed a first ever AHL goal.
He had no goals and 12 assists in 65 games last season.
In 9 games, he had a solid +8 rating and also added an assist to his scoring before getting the phone call to return.
He finished his rookie season having skated 5 big league games with no points.
In his return, he got an assist playing 22 shifts for 15:04 ice time, then scored his first NHL goal 4 games later and the 21-year old high draft pick may be off and running.
