Undrafted 3rd year defenseman Ryan Lowney(44) takes a career ECHL season, his 2nd for Fort Wayne Komets scoring a best 33 assists and 38 points in a full 72 game schedule to a new adventure in Tipsport Slovak Liga with HKM Zvolen.
The small-ish 5’8″ 165 lbs. blue liner, former Ferris State University blue liner reached 10+ assists in each of his four seasons at college hockey.
He also helped his college team win the 2016 NCAA/WCHA Championship.
The 25-year old was unable to find his game in Slovakia, so signed with Belfast Giants and is doing ok with a pair of goals and 12 assists in 25 EIHL games.
