7th year right wing Erik Condra(22) spent his first 6 seasons with Ottawa Senators.
The deep draft pick (7th round #211 overall) only had to spend a year and a half, including the 2011 Binghamton Senators’ AHL Calder Cup Championship in the prospect system.
By his third campaign, he was up in the NHL full-time and skated a best 76 games, reaching career high scoring with 17 assists and 25 points.
Although the somewhat small-ish (5’11” 183 lbs.) forward plays an agitating, hard-battling style he doesn’t take any unnecessary penalties averaging a mere 30 minutes in the sin bin per season and was a fully accountable +26 rating through 299 games.
The now 29-year old unrestricted free agent decided to search elsewhere to continue, signing a tidy 3-year deal with Tampa Bay Lightning through 2018.
Zack Fitzgerald(4) & Erik Condra(11)
Hard-nosed Charlotte Checkers‘ 6th year defenseman Zack Fitzgerald(4) looks as though he’s telling Senators‘ forward Erik Condra(11) to go fly a kite into the AHL Calder Cup finals after losing the series 4-0; but I’m sure that wasn’t the case.
Erik Condra(11) Binghamton/Ottawa Senators
Binghamton Senators AHL Calder Cup playoff roster was stocked with 8 Ottawa call-ups to start the postseason.
2006 7th round pick (#211 overall), winger Erik Condra(11) spent 26 games in the NHL this season and rung up 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists).
The second year player has contributed big for Binghamton to help them advance to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2003, when they were the Binghamton Rangers.
Binghamton Senators celebrate game 6 2OT win
Geoff Kinrade(7) is mugged by his teammates after scoring the game 6 winning goal in double overtime at the Verizon Wireless to give the Senators the 3-3 series tie.
the number 7 on Kinrade‘s helmet is the only indication of who Erik Condra(11), Patrick Wiercioch(17), Jim O’Brien(19) and Kaspars Daugavins(26) have surrounded.
