Pittsburgh Penguins‘ 3rd year center Teddy Blueger(53) grabbed a well-deserved 1st recall after tying his career high goals (21) in just 45 AHL games as an assistant captain for affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
He’s on pace for all new best marks in the minors if he heads back there.
It only took him a couple of games to get on the board with a 1st NHL goal.
Skating very limited minutes in his first appearance, he upped it for his second by scoring the opening tally and came away with 1 shot, 6 hits, 2 penalty minutes, 1 play breakup and a +2 rating in 2 victories.
The 24-year old has only secured one season under his current contract but looks to be adding at least a couple more to that total as he approaches a second restricted free agency.
