Undrafted 3rd year center Tim McGauley(38) signs with Colorado Eagles for 2018/2019.
He was originally under contract on a three-year entry level deal to Washington Capitals, including his last year of juniors, but was left unqualified after his deal expired.
The 6′ 188 lbs. forward spent most of his playing time with affiliate South Carolina Stingrays but did appear in 14 AHL games for Hershey Bears (o goals, 3 assists) at the end of last season.
In 39 ECHL games, the 6′ 188 lbs. forward scored a career high 13 goals and 23 assists with a +9 rating.
He was a very prolific goal scorer through 4 seasons with Brandon Wheat Kings grabbing 102 goals and 157 assists for 259 points in 276 games, while adding another 50 points in 50 playoff contests and also winning the 2015 WHL Championship.
Considered a bit of an early bloomer, he played 14 games with the team as a 16-year old called up from Midget AAA.
The recently turned 23-year old will definitely need to connect with the scoresheet early and often to stick in the higher league.
