12th year center Tim Sestito(43) decides after his 2nd season with Dinamo Riga will be his last for any squad.

In 53 KHL games through 2016/2017 he scored 5 goals and 7 assists with a bit of a dreadful -14 rating but with his 75 penalty minutes proved he is still the same agitator on ice he’s always been and is always good for at least a couple of fisticuffs’ battles.

He hangs up those skates having played 101 NHL games, 103 in Russia, a monstrous 451 AHL contests and even 138 in the ECHL.

What the 32-year old will decide to do next is still up in the air but coaching would be an amazing prospect for him to pursue.

Veteran center Tim Sestito(43) would skate 18 games with the parent club and 45 with the farm team but gritty center was extended for another year speedily in unrestricted free agency.

In his next campaign he would only be utilized for 6 games in the big league on two separate recalls but that didn’t hinder New Jersey from giving him another two-year deal to stick in the system.

The undrafted forward spent his first pro season 2005/2006 in the ECHL with Greenville Grrrowl. His hard-working style would get him noticed by Edmonton Oilers, who signed him to a two-year entry level deal.

He continued most of his early development in the lower league with new affiliate Stockton Thunder but had his eye of proving he could play the game at a higher level.

2007/2008 would be his first full season in the AHL with Springfield Falcons.

They liked what they saw as he was inked for another year and given the captain’s spot for the minor league squad, while also making debut in the show.

His time in Canada would end there though as he was traded to New Jersey Devils in the off-season for future considerations.

In 2009/2010 he would experience his most productive stint yet scoring 18 goals, 17 assists for 35 points with Lowell Devils.

Heading into the 2nd year of his deal he played 15 games with New Jersey adding another pair of assists but it seemed like his time with the team looked to be running out without having scored an NHL goal.

For his 11th pro season the just turned 31-year old signed with Dinamo Riga for 2015/2016 and in 5 KHL games is off to a hot start netting two goals.

Center Tim Sestito(12) played 36 games with New Jersey Devils last season recording two assists, but to start 2011/2012 was assigned to AHL affiliate Albany Devils, where in 12 games he has 2 goals and an assist.

Goal scoring isn’t exactly what he’s relied on for though.

He’s one of those agitating players that it’s tough and no fun to play against and does it well without being cheap.

He recently did get the call and played in his first game, a 2-1 win vs. Columbus.

He has still yet to score his first NHL goal in 47 games played but I got to think one will come sooner than later for the 7th year veteran, his third in the Devils‘ system.
