Boston Bruins‘ 1st round pick in the 2016 draft (#29 overall) rookie center Trent Frederic(82) earns himself a first NHL recall and doesn’t look out of place for one second of ice time.
The 6’2″ 203 lbs. forward played 8:29 with one fight, 2 shots on net and 2 hits in a 4-3 shootout loss.
He has a decent 10 goals and 7 assists in 37 AHL games for affiliate Providence Bruins with a +4 rating, which seems a little low considering he was a 30+ point scorer in his two seasons at University Of Wisconsin.
His 8 points (5-3) in 13 games when he signed an ato to join the minor league club after leaving college definitely points towards him being able to connect with the net.
At 20-years old he’s only in his first run and is signed for two more, so he still has time to develop but looking ready.
