Tyler-Sikura

Chicago Blackhawks‘ 5th year center Tyler Sikura(28) gets a one-year deal after excelling with affiliate Rockford IceHogs.

In his 1st full AHL season he scored 23 goals and 16 assists with a team high +24 rating and continues to help them win in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

The decently sized forward had been under a pair of ECHL contracts previously skating 115 games (30 goals, 52 assists) before securing a contract in the higher league.

At 26-year old he will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season but could very well be brought up to make his NHL debut and could make an impact.

His younger brother Dylan Sikura(95) is has also just been signed to enter the prospect system and may go directly to the big league as he did after college but could also join his brother for some games in the minors.
