Undrafted 2nd year defenseman Willie Raskob(26) takes a successful rookie season for Quad City Mallards scoring 3 goals and a team high 35 assists in 70 ECHL games to grab a one-year two-way deal with Stockton Heat for 2018/2019.
He was coming off a fourth year of putting up 10+ assists for University Of Minnesota-Duluth, where he helped them with the 2017 NCAA/NCHC Championship.
The pretty swift-moving 5’10” 190 lbs. blue liner actually started his pro career with a start in the league debut of Worcester Railers but was traded a week later after picking up an assist.
Even if the 23-year old gets reassigned temporarily to affiliate Kansas City Mavericks, he’s bound to be playing some good hockey.
