6th year Russian-born defenseman Yaroslav Dyblenko(28) tried North American pro hockey for 1 season for Binghamton Devils, while under a tw0-year entry level deal with New Jersey Devils but seems to be saying that’s plenty enough if I’m not going to be playing in the NHL and signs for 4-years to SKA St. Petersburg.
The solid 6’2″ 195 lbs. blue liner has already skated 4 seasons in the KHL, initially for 2 years with junior team Atlant Mytishchi, then 2 more for Spartak Moskva.
He only scored 2 goals and 6 assists in 54 AHL games with a -16 rating on a cellar dwelling club in 2017/2018 but isn’t exactly known for affecting the score sheet.
No doubt the 24-year old will be just as happy, if not happier playing hockey at home.
