Harvard University Crimson junior defenseman Jack Bar(24) may not eclipse modest highs set in earlier college seasons, but is relied upon to play a very in-your-face, move the skater from the front of the net style he is very good at.
A Dallas Stars‘ 5th round pick in the 2021 draft (#138 overall), the 6’2″ 194 lbs. blue liner was selected after his 1 junior frame with Chicago Steel, where he walked with the 2021 USHL Clark Cup Championship.
From Newmarket, ON, the 21-year old is looking good to sign an entry level deal after next session.

UMass-Boston Beacons‘ graduate left wing Conor Foley(27) comes to the team after spending the last four years at Franklin Pierce University Ravens, running up some decent scoring totals as a junior and senior.
The 5’11” 180 lbs. forward already has 1 goals and 3 assists in 4 games this season.
From Nahant, MA, the 25-year old did 1 campaign of EHL junior hockey with Vermont Lumberjacks.

Undrafted right wing Matt Fawcett(8) will take his game to University Of Maine Black Bears for 2021/2022 after two years at Quinnipiac University Bobcats.
He’s very small at 5’6″ 148 lbs. but quick enough on his skates to find space and has shown to be a more than consistent scorer in his time at Winchendon School, where he had just a colossal 81 goals and what 113 assists in 107 USHS-Prep games.
The Lincoln, RI native also was potting points with MSHL U16 & U18 teams and headed off twice for late USHL stints with Sioux City Musketeers before deciding to head up north to a shortened 21 games season for Powell Rivers Kings, but still managed 10 goals and 10 assists in 21 BCHL games.
The 22-year old junior will no doubt add some energy to his new college club.
We think this may be one of the more interesting cool, college hockey moves of the offseason, he will take his game to Salve Regina University Raiders for a 2023/2024 (listed as junior?) frame and likely do awesome, be fun to watch in official D3 hockey.
In 4 games with his new college team, he already has sniped 6 goals and 5 assists in all wins.

Harvard University Crimson freshman right wing Michael Callow(18) doesn’t have any points through 2 NCAA Division 1 games, but our bet is once he starts it will continue.
The big and rangy 6’4″ 181 lbs. forward is around the net a lot.
In 1 frame of USHL, he was a very decent scorer with Muskegon Lumberjacks and also hit the scoresheet quite decently through high school.
An Anaheim Ducks‘ 5th round pick in 2022 (#154 overall), from Boston, MA we think the 19-year old’s talents are going to spring to life.

University Of North Dakota Fighting Hawks‘ freshman right wing Jayden Perron(18) was a very smart grab for Carolina Hurricanes in the 2nd round of the 2023 draft (#94 overall), as what he may lack in size, way makes up for it in play making and scoring ability.
The 5’9″ 165 lbs. forward had an easy at USHL junior best in his 2nd run for Chicago Steel, potting 24 goals and 48 assists in 61 games.
At just 18-years old and 3 goals in his 1st 7 NCAA Division 1 games, it’s a wonder how long the Winnipeg, MB native stays in school.

Canisius College Golden Griffins‘ senior left wing Randy Hernandez(20) is looking to eclipse marks he set last season in a 40 game high frame with 8 goals and 13 assists, as he has 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 games to start 2023/2024.
The 6′ 190 lbs. forward started at Robert Morris University Pioneers after most of a pair of sessions with Brooks Bandits of the AJHL, but left due to them pulling hockey.
A Miami, FL native, he also went through a couple of sessions with USNTDP before heading further north to Canada for more junior hockey.
We are thinking he plays an Atlantic Hockey run this year after winning it last that gets him noticed.

11 year right wing Andrew Cherniwchan(28) concludes 456 ECHL games with a +36 rating and just as many seasons in a South Carolina Stingrays‘ uniform, since joining the team straight off 4 years at Northern Michigan University Wildcats.
He was team captain the last 3.
The 5’11” 181 lbs. forward only spent 1 entire AHL campaign away, when playing for Providence Bruins.
We are a little surprised the 34-year old from Hinton, AB has yet to net himself a post skating job, but this jersey # is headed for the rafters.

Our Salem State University Vikings‘ player watch for 2023/2024 is on junior forward Luke Day(9).
The 5’10” 185 lbs. already has 1 goal in 1 game to start.
He scored 5 as a freshman after almost a point-per-game frame with New Jersey Rockets USPHL Premier team.
We feel the 22-year old Ottsville, PA native eclipses that by a lot this season.

Undrafted 7th year center Steve McParland(10) switches up 3 seasons in AlpsHL, 2 with Asiago and most recently for HC Fassa Falcons, running up a pair of campaigns worth 60+ points for a new environment in the EIHL with Glasgow Clan.
He twice fired in 57 points with the exact same goals and assists, reversed a 2nd time (31-26) for Idaho Steelheads.
The 5’11” 203 lbs. forward helped his college team, Providence College Friars win the 2015 NCAA Championship, but wasn’t much of a scorer in school, hitting 13 points as a junior and senior.
A native of Schreiber, ON, he did light it up in 4 seasons of junior hockey, 2 in the GOJHL and 2 OJHL sessions.
The 31-year old will likely ignite mostly England’s top hockey league.
He does just that with 19 goals and 27 assists through 54 games, but has made the choice to move onto DEL3 for his next contract with Saale Bulls Halle for 2023/2024.
After just 8 games and 1 goal in Germany, he decides he’d rather play in the EIHL this season and signs with Guildford Flames, which should give them some happily welcome scoring pop.
