Rivier University Raiders‘ junior right wing Matt Horan(12) left school to sign a 1st pro contract for 2025/2026 with Columbus River Dragons, where in 5 FPHL games he has 1 goal and 1 assist with a +1 rating.
The 5’11” 170 lbs. forward played New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs‘ program mostly through youth hockey before ultimately latching on with their USPHL Premier team for his best scoring output.
From Methuen, MA, the 24-year old did 2 successful years at Franklin Pierce University Ravens before leaving.

Stevenson University Mustangs‘ freshman defenseman Brandon Hemmer(2) has 1 goal and 3 assists in 15 games.
The 6’2″ 201 lbs. blue liner finished up his 2nd year of juniors in the USPHL/NCDC, doing quite well with 6 goals and 10 assists in 20 games for Seacoast Spartans.
From St. Cloud, MI, the 21-year old was strong USHS-MN.

MCLA Trailblazers‘ freshman defenseman Kieran Kenny(44) has a 1st college hockey goal and 2 assists in 14 games with a -1 rating on a team that has once again struggled to win games this season.
The 6’1″ 205 lbs. blue liner did 2 EHL years with Philadelphia Hockey Club before heading to school.
From Kalamazoo, MI, the 21-year old looks to be a good space for himself.

Framingham State University Rams‘ freshman left wing Grig Kaagan(17) committed from 1 EHL season for Bridgewater Bandits, where he scored 8 goals and 11 assists in 42 games.
The 5’10” 165 lbs. forward, sometime defenseman has a 1st college hockey goal and 4 assists in 12 games with a +2 rating.
From Redmond, OR, the 21-year old played some junior close to home before coming east.

Fitchburg State University Falcons‘ Russian-born, freshman left wing Alexei Filimonov(17) is on a scoring spree with 10 goals and 22 assists in 17 games with a +21 rating.
He came over pretty quickly, working his way up the junior hockey system and would finish up with Islanders HC, playing 47 USPHL/NCDC games, scoring 14 goals and 13 assists.
The 21-year old is a wicked MASCAC watch.

New England College Pilgrims‘ senior right wing Jesper Tarkiainen(89) signed a deal with Fayettesville Marksmen, but was only with them a single appearance before heading to Quad City Storm for his rookie season, 2025/2026.
The 6′ 192 lbs. forward has done decently with 7 goals and 4 assists in 32 SPHL games.
From Naperville, IL, the 24-year old did all his youth and junior hockey in Finland, where he has roots before heading to school.

3rd year Macon Mayhem right wing Dan Wislow(16) was set to retire, but instead signs on for another season with a team he has SPHL bests scoring 12 goals and 22 assists in 56 games.
The 5’11” 210 lbs. forward left a graduate year at University Of New England Nor’easters, scoring a college best 17 goals and 30 points.
He came in from three sessions at Quinnipiac University Bobcats, where he struggled to find playing time after his freshman frame.
From Fairfield, CT, the 28-year old played his way up in junior hockey to holding down a big run for New Jersey Titans before college.

Curry College Colonels‘ graduate defenseman Billy Roche(18) signed upon graduation with Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, scoring a 1st SPHL goal for himself in 3 games with a +1 rating.
This has earned the 6’2″ 205 lbs. blue liner a 1-year 2-way ECHL deal with Rapid City Rush for 2023/2024.
He played his 1st 4 college hockey years at Suffolk University Rams and had his best scoring season as a senior captain with 3 goals and 13 assists in 20 games.
A Braintree, MA native, he played at BC High USHS-Prep before heading to a year of tier 3 juniors, then up to USPHL/NCDC with South Shore Kings before heading to school.
The 26-year old is likely very ready for his rookie season of pro hockey.
In 53 games, he scores 7 goals and 10 assists with a +9 rating to earn another look in a Yard Dawgs‘ jersey for 2024/2025.
As the new season approaches, he is traded before a 3rd year with the same team to rivals Knoxville Ice Bears.
He is actually loaned up after a good performance to Greensboro Gargoyles, but is traded after 6 games with no points to South Carolina Stingrays, 2025/2026.

2nd year center Chris Mott(10) has played his way up into the SPHL quite nicely for himself after 1st spending time in the FPHL.
The 5’10” 165 lbs. forward signed with Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.
In 14 games, he has 2 goals and 1 assist.
The former Morrisville State College Mustangs did 2 years of juniors before school.
From Nesconset, NY, the 26-year old played the PAL Jr. Islanders‘ system through youth hockey.
