Trinity College Bantams‘ freshman left wing Spencer Korona(9) recently had a 3 assist night in a 6-0 NESCAC division win over Tufts University Jumbos.

The 5’11” 185 lbs. forward increased his first year totals to 3 goals and 7 assists in 16 games.

He skated four NCDC junior seasons for P.A.L. Islanders, amassing 40+ assists in both of his final 2 frames.

The 21-year old from Enfield, CT is a difference maker out there

Wesleyan University Cardinals‘ senior left wing Wiggle Kerbrat(19) had a 2 goal, 1 assist night in a 5-4 win, including the game-winner midway through the final frame to help his team to another hard fought win, solidifying their newly minted USCHO D3 top 15 status.

The 6′ 190 lbs. forward now has a college career best 13 goals and 8 assists for new high 21 point in 15 games this season.

He twice in a row won EHL titles with his junior team, New Hampshire Avalanche.

A Laguna Niguel, CA native, it will be interesting to see where the 25-year old takes his game next, if anywhere.

Westfield State University Owls‘ senior, left wing Justin Collins(10) is an absolute spark plug out there for his D3 hockey team.

In 10 games he has 2 goals and 5 assists, which is tough to say if he’ll beat his college scoring bests set as a freshman with 4 tallies and 13 helpers.

The 5’8″ 170 lbs. forward is definitely scoring points at a faster clip this season as it took him 23 contests to achieve what he did in his 1st year.

He skated for Malden Catholic High and went onto the Islanders USPHL Premiere team for a run before heading to school.

At 24-years old, there is no clue where the Wilmington, MA native will take his game next, but he’s at least leaving on a good note.

Babson College Beavers‘ senior goaltender Nolan Hildebrand(29) raised his 2022/2023 record to a 7-1-2 mark with a recent 4-1 victory over Salem State University Vikings.

The 6’2″ 185 lbs. net minder had a 17-save effort in his last game.

A Calgary, AB native, the 20-year old played 3 BCHL seasons.

His 10 appearances are more than double his previous highs with a best 1.70 GAA and .940 SV%.

 

UMass-Boston Beacons‘ junior, right wing Evan Googins(9) plays the game like a player obsessed.

In the opening round of the Codfish Bowl games at their home rink, he opened up for 2 tallies and his helper was on the game-winner for a 4-1 win to head to the Finals.

The 5’11” 190 lbs. forward came over from a pair of seasons at Norwich University Cadets, where he was basically inactive on their roster and failed to connect much on the scoresheet.

Heading to the closer school to his Braintree, MA home has paid off big, as he’s already good for new D3 college career best totals with 3 goals and 2 assists in 11 games.

He plays a hard-nosed style out there and will be a player to watch as he turns to his senior year.

It was a Saturday night non-conference battle at Boston Bruins‘ practice arena, Warrior Ice featuring the home Rivier University Raiders (Nashua, NH) vs. Framingham State University Rams, pitting two teams with near identical records.

The team from up north got on the scoreboard first with a goal late in the 2nd to break the ice, but an early 3rd period press by the other club from down the road would even things up at 1.

In the extra session, the Raiders kept pressing the 3-on-3 til they finally found light to win it 2-1.

Sophomore goaltender Luke Newell(29) stopped 28 of 29 shots for his 3rd win against 2 losses of the season.

Middlebury College Panthers make their annual visit down to Valley Forum for an NESCAC Division matchup vs. Tufts University Jumbos, a pair of teams with only one win apiece in the early going.

The game stayed scoreless through the 1st, but early in the 2nd freshman forward Cole Dubicki(24) lights the lamp for his 1st of the season and the home team just kept scoring to run the tally up to 5-0 by the finish.

Tufts University Jumbos welcome in NESCAC Division rivals Williams College Ephs to the Valley Forum for a matchup and the game is at a 0-0 stand still until late in the 2nd, when the visitors get on the board.

Sophomore forward Sean Clark(27) would get what would be the game-winner early in the third on the way to what would become a bit of a 4-1 tilted outcome for an eventual 2nd win of the season.

 

Framingham State University Rams welcome MASCAC division rivals, undefeated Plymouth State University Panthers to Loring Arena for a mid-week tilt and tie things up in the 2nd, heading into the 3rd 3-3, but a mid-period goal by 6′ 200 lbs. freshman center, Connor Tait(6) puts the visitors up by one to which they would add a power play tally late to take the 5-3 win.
