Framingham State University Rams‘ senior center Ryan Colgan(19) was named team captain for his potentially last season.

The 6’2″ 201 lbs. forward plays a fairly big style up front, but has no points through 4 games so far.

His highs are only 6 goals and 5 assists as a sophomore.

He transferred from 1 year at Nichols College Bison.

The 24-year old Bronx, NY native played mostly USPHL/NCDC as a junior, but did go up to the OJHL for half a session.

5th year, undrafted defenseman Ryan Lowney(55) leaves for a 2nd time in as many seasons, this time going to Metal Ligaen, putting ink to paper with Rodovre Mighty Bulls for 2021/2022.

He played games in Slovakia, then England’s EIHL a couple of years ago, pre-pandemic.

The small 5’8″ 166 lbs. blue liner likely decided to stay close to last season, originally signing to Toledo Walleye, they didn’t play, so ended up with Utah Grizzlies.

He’s done well in the ECHL averaging 7 goals and 25+ assists in his three season, mostly with Fort Wayne Komets.

We think the 27-year old, former Ferris State University Bulldogs‘ 10+ assist d-man will likely take scoring up to what he accomplished in his 2nd year of USHL juniors for Youngstown Phantoms and 2nd frame in Indiana for his new club in Denmark.

Well, he didn’t exactly ignite the Danish with scoring and decided to return home, signing with Toledo Walleye, where he took his game all the way to the ECHL Finals before bowing out.

He re-signed with last season, but waits a bit before committing to CSM Corona Brasov of Erste Liga for 2023/2024.

Stonehill College Skyhawks‘ sophomore defenseman Greg Japchen(2) is off an running with his new college club, scoring 1 goal and 7 assists in 11 games after transferring from 8 games, no points with Union College Dutchmen as a freshman.

The 6’4″ 205 lbs. blue liner was twice good for 20+ points in his 2 NAHL seasons.

From Doylestown, PA, he played most of his youth hockey around his house before leaving for junior stops.

The 21-year old has to be pretty happy with his decision and looks like he always belongs out there.

Hobart College Statesmen senior center Jonah Alexander(14) has 4 assists in 5 games, but still has a little ways to go to eclipse marks he set as a junior with 15 goals and 19 assists in 30 D3 games.

The 5’11” 185 lbs. forward transferred from his freshman year at University Of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers, where he appeared in 10 games with no points.

A Toronto, ON native, he did 4 years of OJHL junior hockey for St. Michael’s Buzzers, really running totals (78 points in 54 games) in his final season before college.

The 24-year old is a good watch, as he’s fast on his skates and occupies a lot of the ice.

Babson College Beavers‘ sophomore goaltender Nate Mueller(31) has already started 4 games this season with a 2-2 record, but there was no win more important than the 3-1 victory over the 2023 D3 Championship Hobart College Statesmen, who also happened to shut out their previous opponents including a 10-0 tilt the previous evening.

The 5’11” 179 lbs. net minder was always centered to where the play was coming in order to gain stops and those were aplenty at 46 saves on the night, against only 13 for the home team.

He was twice Goaltender of the Year and won an EHL Championship with his 2-year team Boston Jr. Rangers.

The 22-year old from Rogers, MN looks to be pushing for the unequivocal starter’s job.

Colgate University Raiders‘ 2024/2025 commit, bi 6’5″ 216 lbs. right wing Ryan Spinale(15) is going to finish up a 2nd BCHL season with junior career high marks for Merritt Centennials.

In 17 games, he’s already tied his 6 goals and has new best 11 assists and 17 points.

He did his youth hockey and USPHL/NCDC in the Boston Advantage system.

The 19-year old from Plymouth, MA should help his college club’s defense.

Senior defenseman Grey Owens(5) shows a lot of emotion for sophomore net minder Nate Mueller(31), when it comes down to the thus far unranked Babson College Beavers 1-3-1 NEHC take down of the #1 rated in the country D3 hockey team, Hobart College Statesmen, who just so happened won the whole NCAA thing in spring of 2023, by a count of 3-1.

We do believe it was a victory of blocked shots, but they did manage 47 shots on net, while the home team only tallied 13 with much better results.

A Freshman, Joseph Kramer(7) from South Shore Kings, got the game-winner.

Stonehill College Skyhawks‘ sophomore goaltender Dylan Meilun(31) transferred in from an amazing D3 season for University Of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets, where he posted a 12-3-2 record with 1.51 GAA and .941 SV%.

The absolutely huge 6’5″ 220 lbs. net minder doesn’t have the start he wants, but is playing mostly a schedule of tough D1 opponents to stop.

From Winnipeg, MB, the 21-year old is likely going to get comfortable as he gets to backstop some easier opponents.

Curry College Colonels‘ only graduate skater on their 2023/2024 hockey roster is Austan Bellefeuille(23), who entered the transfer portal a couple of seasons ago to arrive from 3 at Nichols College Bison.

It’s early in the frame, but the 6’2″ 174 lbs. forward is looking pretty good with 1 goal and 1 assist through 3 games.

He has never really been an amazing scorer, but you have to figure if he can stick close to the net, the puck will come to him to bury it.

The 23-year old from Framingham, MA is definitely playing some quality ice time.

Undrafted, left wing Aidan Spellacy(8) was originally at his junior year of Roger Morris University Pioneers, but when the program went belly-up, entered the transfer portal and was next heading to St. Cloud State University Huskies for his senior and a graduate session.

The 5’11” 174 lbs. has 4 times scored 10+ points in college, but really hasn’t been too effective a scorer.

Upon graduation, he signed an ato with Kalamazoo Wings and in 6 ECHL games pocketed 2 goals.

He was set to return for his official rookie season, but has ultimately decided to sign in the EIHL for 2023/2024 and joins a pretty famous hockey club in Coventry Blaze.
