It would surprise us little to see the 23-year old from Bridgewater, MA turn pro, when college hockey is all said and done.

Worcester Railers‘ 2nd year left wing Nick Fea(22) re-signs to return for a full 2023/2024 season after being loaned up from Birmingham Bulls following point-per-game SPHL numbers, then getting 8 goals and 8 assists in 29 ECHL games on loan.
The 5’11” 190 lbs. forward was a scoring machine at Wilkes University Colonels, striking for 121 points in 86 D3 games, 3 times 20+ goals.
From Oak Ridge, NJ, the 26-year old has consistently put up good statistics.
He was to return, where he played last season, but that’s how quickly things change in this league sometimes, as he is officially on the roster of Wichita Thunder going forward.

Wesleyan University Cardinals‘ freshman right wing Zack Stimeling(27) gets a 1st D3 goal in his debut shift.
The 6’1″ 190 lbs. really has nothing to compare it to.
He played most of his junior hockey in the EHL with Valley Jr. Warriors and had 10 goals last frame.
From Merrimack, NH, the 21-year old already looks to have a promising 1st year.

Wesleyan University Cardinals‘ senior defenseman DJ Dixon(3) gets the 1st of 2023/2024 for the D3 college team en route to a 2-1 victory at home.
The 6’1″ 170 lbs. blue liner already has 1 goal and 1 assist in 2 games to start the new session.
His high is 7 goals and 8 assists in 25 games as a junior.
The Detroit, MI native played little junior hockey upon graduating high school, but the year his school was COVID blocked from playing, he skated some USPHL Premier games.
He’s only 21-years old, so you almost figure him to stick around for a graduate year or head to maybe a little higher rung of hockey.

Tufts University Jumbos‘ senior captain defenseman Sam Miller(44) may not have any points through the 1st 2 games, but he is playing like once he connects, he will clear his college bests 7 goals and 12 assists, set in his junior frame.
The 6’1″ 180 lbs. blue liner came over after his freshman year at American International College Yellowjackets, where he appeared in a scant 4 games, but did come away with a tally.
He was a huge scorer in his final junior session in the NAHL with Shreveport Mudbugs, scoring 16 goals and 24 assists with a +15 rating, giving him Defenseman Of The Year honors.
From Milwaukee, WI, the 24-year old looks like a leader out there.

University Of New England Nor’easters‘ graduate defenseman Brock Paul(5) spent 4 years (1 off due to COVID) at Dartmouth University Big Green, playing some seasons a decent amount of games, but having only 4 assists to his scoring credit.
The big 6’3″ 220 lbs. blue liner did 1 USHL session with Waterloo Black Hawks after graduating the Culver Military Academy USHS-Prep.
From Carmel, IN, the 23-year old already has 2 assists in 6 D3 games to start 2023/2024.

UMASS-Lowell Riverhawks‘ graduate right wing Nick Granowicz(71) came over after 4 years at University Of Michigan Wolverines.
The 6’1″ 183 lbs. forward has 2 goals and 3 assists in 11 games.
He did 3 years of junior hockey, but seemed to excel when he got to the BCHL with Merritt Centennials.
The Macomb, MI native 23-year old will likely see his best college numbers playing Hockey East.

Allen Americans‘ rookie goaltender Justin Kapelmaster(1) got off to the best start of any recent college graduate turned pro (up for argument, no doubt).
The 6’1″ 205 lbs. backstop posted a 3-0 record out of the gate with a 1.93 GAA and .938 SV% but has since come back to earth going 7-6-1 with a 2.79 and .912.
He finished with a solid season at Robert Morris University after three years, including a disastrous junior affair, with Ferris State University.
The Coral Springs, FL 25-year old had an interesting run through a few different junior hockey leagues including one up in Canada but finally arriving at the NAHL with Wichita Falls Wildcats that surely got him his college ride.
He had a bit of a lopsided 2021/2022, tending net for a few different teams, but did show some flashes of what makes him a solid bet for any team’s cage.
For 2022/2023, he signs with Reading Royals, who could use a standout starter to help them stay solid for another run at the Cup.
He stays nowhere for very long last season, playing a total of 5 games for 3 different teams, but our bet and Jacksonville Icemen welcomes his return is the 28-year old still has plenty left in the tank.
He just needs a good opportunity.
5 days later, before even barely practicing with his new team, he gets traded to Florida Everblades, where he may just find the best home for himself for the state native.

Harvard University Crimson freshman center Ben MacDonald(19) is off to a nice start with 1 goal and 3 assists in 5 games.
The 6′ 181 lbs. forward is a Seattle Kracken 3rd round pick in the 2022 draft (#91 overall) after a top scoring senior year at Noble & Greenough.
He did 1 year of BCHL junior hockey with West Kelowna Warriors, running up 50 points (23-27) in 52 games before college.
From Weston, MA, the 19-year old seems to be settling.
